Mother's Sampler

We just finished up our newest design-Mother's Sampler.
Threads: Classic Colorworks
Embellishments: glass beads & heart charm (included with pattern)
Fabric: 32 ct. Dark Chocolate Belfast Linen
Stitch Count: 63 x 77
Specialty Stitch: Rhodes Heart

While at the show in Nashville last month, we where kindly given a sample pack of the newest colors from Classic Colorworks. I loved the colors together and knew I wanted to make a design using these colors. Threads used are Prairie Grass, Sugar Plum, Shabby Sheep. Only 1 skein of each color is used. Fits great into a 5" x 7" frame.

Nashville Show

We had a a wonderful time at the Nashville Show. Here are some pics of our displays.

Unfortunately Mammoth Cave was closed when we stopped by and didn't want to wait 2 hours for the next tour. They did let us walk down to the opening so we did get a picture of Mammoth Cave.

Easter Celebration Kit

This kit was kind last minute idea. We had plenty of fabric and fun bright threads so I wanted to make a fun colorful Easter themed kit. It was designed and stitching started on Friday and we had 500 kits by Tuesday. We had a very busy weekend! There are ready to go for Nashville just in the nick of time.

Kit includes: 28ct tea-dyed Monaco, threads, needle, clay button, and pattern.
Cutting the fabric is my least favorite part of kit making but it's know so bad when you watch your one of your favorite TV shows.

1st post of 2015!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years! 2014 was a wonderful year for us. There were a lot of changes and first for us last year. We went to our first trade show, had our designs picked up by a distributor (Hoffman Distribution) and moved. Here's hoping 2015 will be a banner year!

Here's what has been going on so far this year. While my wonderful mother-in-law has been busy packing up the spring buddy kits (see pics above), we have been busy designing & picking out colors for our summer buddy line (see pics below). The summer line will be released at the Nashville show in February.

2014 St. Charles Show

This St. Charles show will be out first cash and carry show! We are located in room 418. It took about 8 hours from Ohio to get here. We actually ended up arriving an hour early because we forgot about the time change. Luckily, the hotel let us check-in early.

Our front window with Coffee Sampler & Yummy Treats on display.
This being our first show of this kind, we weren't quite sure what to bring. It's definitely a learning experience. First thing we noticed were all the beautiful banners other exhibitors had hanging off the railings outside their rooms. After a quick trip to Walmart to get some burlap, paint and ribbon, viola, we have a banner for less than $10. We are making a list as we set up of items we need to bring for the next show.

Spring/Easter designs on display.
Dragons & Geometric designs on display.

 Fall designs on display.

It has been a learning experience for sure. Time to go home and gear up for the Nashville show.
